Will Apple compete with Netflix in subscriptions?

Posted on by Brian Breslin

Here’s a thought: Apple does an unlimited rentals for $15-17/month but you can only have 2 movies “rented” at a time. Think this would work? Think apple would do it? It would be their answer to Netflix‘s download service, which to be honest isn’t that great (and doesn’t work on my mac!)

I think I know a few people who would pay $15/month for unlimited movies. Are we really moving to a society whereby we own nothing and rent everything?

Society probably isn’t.. but I am. I rent my music (Rhapsody), movies (Netflix), car (lease), house, etc.

I like it this way. I can’t quite explain why but I do prefer it.
